Eternal Draft Rankings for Season 13 (Unleashed): Time Commons

This is my review of the twelve Time commons available in the Unleashed Draft Format. To quote Hamlet himself, this rather milquetoast card is "not to be". Ranking: D There are a lot of silly relics in this format. This is one of them. Ranking: D Not entirely useless. Just mostly useless. Ranking: D+ One of the central cards to the entire format, this card when buffed in hand can single (or, really multiple) handedly steal the game. Ranking: A- Even more so than Grumbo this card represents one of the major strategic pillars of this format. Because of its ubiquity there are a variety of cards that dramatically increase in value in support of this (Tenured Graviturgist, Windscreamer, Midnight Tinker, etc.) and generally once a few of these have been drafted into your deck many future decisions will likely center around the myriad "swarm synergies" available to the discerning drafter. Eternal Draft Rankings for Season 13 (Unleashed): Fire Commons

A 1/1 Relic Weapon is generally not great. In this format, however, it's actually playable and the frenzy effect is for Fire a significant bonus. Rating: C+ Not a reliably strong enough trick to merit inclusion in most decks. Rating: C- While there's somewhat more attachments than usual due to the new relics in unleashed, that doesn't justify this highly situational and most of the time more or less dead card. Rating: D- Even if this wasn't dependent on frenzy for its one-turn quickdraw effect, it would still be hard to justify its inclusion in anything other than the most weapon-centric decks. Rating: D Did you have more than one of these in your deck when you first picked it? No? Then don't pick it. :) Rating: D+ With just one frenzy effect this card becomes pretty alarming. That said, most decent drafters are aware of how important one damage removal spells are in this format and will often be able to ruthlessly ping this t...

Eternal Draft Rankings for Season 13 (Unleashed): Legendaries

1/5 is fine for 3, but does the discard effect merit the double influence? Probably, but you'd likely need to draft some big units (and/or evasion effects) to get sufficient "bang" for your buck. Rating: B 5/4 Flying is generally bonkers in draft. The Reckless is almost immaterial as so few fliers can block this anyhow. Rating: A- While draft is often about tempo this relic is essentially granting potentially game-changing cards for free each turn with a 2/2 minion to put them on if you don't already have board presence. Rating: A I don't doubt there's some way to make this bonkers in constructed. In draft, however, just no. Rating: D An interesting card to build around with casutic rain and what not, as well as to simply make combat awkward at times when buffed with tricks such as Pull Up or Stoneskin. Rating: B+ OK, I completely misjudged this card. In an world with so much unleash, the extra mana this generates can be harness...
